Welcome Message

Hi, I’m Rachel. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I hope to provide a warm, safe, and supportive space for you to slow down, take a breath, and share what has been heavy at your own pace. You will be met as a whole person, not just through the lens of a problem or struggle.

I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, self-doubt, grief and loss, relationship challenges, burnout, life transitions, past emotional wounds, and times of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about the next step. I also support first-generation and immigrant individuals navigating identity, belonging, cultural expectations, and family pressure. Additionally, I work with couples navigating communication challenges, conflict, disconnection, trust concerns, and relationship transitions.

Opening up can feel vulnerable, especially when life feels messy, painful, or overwhelming. In therapy, you are welcome to bring the parts of your story that feel hard to say out loud. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming, and you do not have to walk through hard seasons alone.

Every person is unique. Your story, culture, relationships, and lived experiences matter in how we understand what you are going through. Our work will be shaped around your needs, your pace, and what feels meaningful for you. My role is to walk beside you, listen with care, ask gentle questions, and offer reflection, structure, and tools when they are helpful. You will be met with warmth, curiosity, and respect, without pressure or judgment.

About Me

I take an integrative and flexible approach, drawing from different therapeutic models so our work can be shaped around what feels most helpful for you. My work draws from client-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, polyvagal theory, and motivational interviewing. I also draw from attachment theory, emotion-focused work, narrative therapy, somatic approaches, and Gottman-informed relational work.

Together, we may explore your thoughts, emotions, body responses, patterns, relationships, values, strengths, and the different parts of you that may need care and understanding. Along the way, we may also notice the inner voice of doubt or pressure, and learn to respond to it with curiosity and compassion. We can build coping skills, acceptance, motivation, and small steps toward meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and supportive, helping you reconnect with your strengths and move toward the life you want to live.

Sessions are available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. You are welcome to use the language that helps you express yourself most naturally.
